IBM Lenovo Laptop Computers

If you’re searching for an awesome looking thin and light notebook computer at a significance value, the IBM Lenovo Laptop Computers – IdeaPad U350 fills the gap connecting personal and professional and is worth checking out. However its design is more flourishing than its power.

On a opening cost of 9, the U350 is less affordable than a 12-inch Netbook such as the Lenovo IdeaPad S12, while not as costly as some ultra professional very thin and light such as the IBM Lenovo ThinkPad T400s laptop computer. And as such, it’s a winner.

While it’s challenging for to weigh design above performance as looking at a notebook computer, computers such as the Lenovo IdeaPad U350 make it a slight easier. As a new access in the growing arena of inexpensive CULV thin-and-lights, the compact and really stylish looking U350 is IBM Lenovo’s MacBook with respect of design.

Lighter than it is thin, the Pentium U2700 processor-packing system is clad inside smallest silver and black and aims to keep a stylish low profile. And while the U2700 processor is both low-power and low-performance by Core 2 Duo standards, this thin-and-light is impeccably competent of running Windows Vista and mainstream software.

Though its desirable to see this same design with a more speed and stronger processor and battery with longer performance, it’s another valid alternative to the MSI X340 and Acer Timeline 3810T for those looking for a lightweight notebook who don’t need an optical drive or substantial graphics.

We pretty much liked the overall look & feel of the IBM Lenovo IdeaPad U350 laptop computers. Compared with Lenovo’s business notebooks and more expensive T400s, it’s far more desirable.

While the T400s does maintain a unbreakable crush-resistant skeleton, we choose the business/personal tone of the U350, which skillfully bridges the gap connecting office and home in its design. A savvy mix of textured black patterns on the outer lid and glossy black on the inner, coupled with brushed metal around the keyboard, comes close to mimicking the Apple MacBook Pro’s look & feel.

Lenovo U350 does not have optical drive, much like in other thin-and-lights notebooks such as the Acer Timeline series and the MSI X340. In that sense, the U350 is a much more like Apple’s MacBook Air, although a bit thicker (the U350 is 1 inch tall). At primary glance, the U350 looks thick enough to maintain handled an optical drive, but the lightweight feel without it is pretty cool.

The keyboard is comparable to other IBM Lenovo Laptop Computers offerings: The conical keys bear a comfortable feel but are a little softer than those on a ThinkPad. The touch pad has a tactile friction to facilitate multitouch simple; it’s covered with a finer grain than Lenovo’s extra powerfully dimpled IdeaPad Y pads. The touch pad buttons, while big, are soft to the position of being mushy. While they worked fine, not having a click was distracting. More than the keyboard are merely a few dedicated buttons: One for volume mute, and one for instant access to Lenovo’s OneKey data backup and recovery software. Volume and screen brightness are controlled through a function button-arrow key combination.

The IdeaPad U350′s glossy 13.3-inch screen has a resolution of 1,366×768, definitely standard for this size. Icons and text looked precise, and the colors and brightness commonly looked very fine while watching movies and film. The tucked-out-of-sight interior speakers are also amazingly loud, much louder than we’d expect for a system of this size. A built-in Webcam and microphone over the screen were also clear and crisp during video teleconferencing.

Attractive Web Design vs. Effective Web Design

Thousands of new websites are created and uploaded every day. Even in small industries, new businesses are emerging every day. Even though the competition is increasing day by day, but should small business be really concerned with the growing number of websites? Internet provides information and it’s good to the information available in abundance, however, what a lot of websites lack is creativity and ability to attract their market. So, from this perspective, most businesses have nothing to worry about because their existing competitors and new entrepreneurs lack in creating effective web design for their business.

What a lot of businesses care about (when they create a new site) is that they want it to look good. They care about images, colors and the overall layout. They try to create a cool and nice atmosphere, but fail to realize that their websites must be practical and easily accessible instead of way too attractive.

Attractiveness won’t give you any benefit if people are unable to browse your website and find the information or products that they need. An effective websites focuses on usability along with having a nice and decent design. However, merely focusing on design is probably the biggest mistake a business can make.

See, you just don’t want people to come to your site and praise your design. You want them to get involved and then later take action as you like. To engage them and bring them back to your website, you need more than an attractive web design. What you need is an effective web design which is a combination of attractiveness, easy accessibility, simplicity and simple navigation. Otherwise, you won’t be able to have your visitors perform the action that you want and all your precious traffic will be a total waste for you and your business.

If you are unable to convert your visitors into customers, if you are unable to sell your products to the most relevant visitors, then it means your design is not effective and it’s not doing the job it is supposed to do.

It may be attractive, but it won’t, of course, pay your bills. A lot of designers, when they create new designs, don’t create about readability. They don’t care about the font size. Thus, with a weird and small font, they make it extremely difficult for the visitors to read the content. This is a very big mistake.

Your content must be easily readable and it should look neat and clean. The overall design may look good with small font, but you shouldn’t expect your market to read your content and take action. Another mistake that a lot of people make prevent their web design from becoming effective is that they create complex navigation. They make it extremely difficult (not on purpose of course) to browse the site and find the required products or information.

So, the bottom line is that your attractive web design may look good, but it may not help you convert your visitors and make money. Hence, it will actually be a bad design. Whereas, an effective web design looks nice and also allows visitors to browse the site easily and conveniently. Hence, an effective web design can convert more visitors. So, go for it and avoid creating a messy fish market.

Automobile Lemon Law – What to Do When Your Automobile is a Lemon

Do you really think that your vehicle is a lemon? You may think so but check out what your state thinks? Although Automobile Lemon Laws vary from state to state still the basis in and around the law remains the same. Generally, a car can be deemed as a lemon when it has not been fixed for the same problem for more than 4 times. It varies from state to state and every state has its own Lemon Law for vehicles.

Under the Automobile Lemon Law there are some defects that are not responsible for considering a vehicle as a lemon, in spite of the fact that it lies within the warranty period. On the other hand there are some defects that can make your car a lemon if any such single defect occurs. These defects are such that they can cause harm to the owner, to the passengers or to other people. Such defects are considered to be very serious and the vehicle is considered as a lemon if the manufacturer is not able to repair the vehicle in his very first attempt.

There are also some obvious facts behind the implementation of the Automobile Lemon Law.

Every purchase or repair that you make must be properly documented and kept safely. You should also allow the manufacturer to repair the problems unless you want to lose your rights as stated by various State Warranty Acts.

Hiring an Attorney depends on the state where your vehicle is registered. In some states you can register a complaint and in some states you need to hire an attorney to carry out your case. If you win the case, the fees of your lawyer will also be paid by the manufacturer. But, in any case if you lose the case, you might have to pay the fees of the manufacturer’s lawyer.

Ultimately, if the lemon law is in favor of you, you have the right to get your car replaced by a new one.

Or, if the vehicle has been discontinued, you have the right to get a new vehicle which has the same value or a value greater than your previous vehicle. Some states also allow you to be refunded by the Automobile Lemon Law.

A Ride in Beguilement

I didn’t realize it at the time that I had been kidnapped. How can one possibly be kidnapped without realizing what is happening and most especially when the perpetrator is someone you know and love? But, that is what happened on that cold rainy dreary January day when I agreed to go with my father.

It didn’t matter to me at all that my mother was at work, nor did it ever occur to me how wrong it was when I decided not to let her know where I was going. He promised we’d be back in plenty of time before she got home. At the time, it seemed reasonable.

I was home from school, sick, with another sore throat when he drove up. I stood looking out of the red and yellow rooster painted curtains in the small kitchen window when I heard him “honk.”

I was eleven years old, soon to be twelve, 15 days from that unsuspecting day.

I grabbed my black fake fur coat darted out the door, so happy to see him. Too many months had passed since I had last heard his hearty laugh and smelled his coffee soaked breath.

Before I reached his ’65 Ford Candy Apple Red Galaxy 500, he leaned over partially sliding across the white leathered seat enough to open the door. The light blue Oxford buttoned down long sleeved shirt made his Paul Newman eyes sparkle.

“Hi! Daddy, where have you been so long? I’ve missed you!”

“I’ve missed you too, sugar rag. What ‘cha been up to?” He smiled big as he kissed me lightly on the left side of my cheek.

“How did you know I was home from school? I asked but knew exactly what he was going to say.

“I know everything, doll baby. You know that.”

Yes, I did know that. My daddy was the smartest man in the whole wide world, no matter what my mother said about him.

“You want to go for a ride?” I could smell the coffee by now.

“Of course I do, but what about mama, should I let her know? She had no idea you would show up just like me.”

“Don’t worry about her. I’ll have you back in no time.” He never paused before asking “How about we catch a movie today?”

I couldn’t believe it. Two miracles in one day: Seeing my daddy who I adored and being able to go to the movies in the middle of the week, on a school day, no less.

“Yes, sir ree bob! Let’s go.” I was so happy just to be with him, hearing him laugh, watching his large hand pull the lever down into drive.

“What are we going to see?” I asked smiling so hard I thought my jaws would snap.

“Anything you’d like! It’s going to be your very special day. Just me and you, popcorn, drink and Milk Duds.” I remember his mashing the accelerator real slow as we pulled off.
